For repeat orders, quote against that reference rather than a screen colour, which never survives different monitors and lighting.
The MOQ printed on a listing is often a lead-generation figure, not the tier where the price actually drops. Stock-anodized parts usually carry a lower minimum because they ship from existing inventory. The moment you ask for a custom colour, laser-engraved logo or bespoke finish, you trigger a dedicated run — and the real MOQ climbs. Always ask the factory for the exact quantity where the unit price breaks, and put that number in the PO.
A good anodizing partner should answer three questions without hesitation: which alloy they machine, whether colour is done in-house or subcontracted, and how they handle batch-to-batch consistency. Vague answers on any of these usually predict inconsistent shipments. Pair that with a verifiable business record and at least one confirmed reorder before you scale volume.
